It creeps and leaps and glides and slides across the floor... It's our episode on The Blob, the original cult classic starring a young Steve McQueen! We begin with Cesar's take on Takashi Miike's most recent film, First Love (Hatsukoi); and C.J. briefly discusses two recent rewatches from 1985: House and Clue. Following our main discussion, we've included a quick bonus conversation about Todd Phillips' Joker.

42: The Matrix (1999, The Wachowskis)
Monday Aug 26, 2019
Monday Aug 26, 2019
This episode covers THE MATRIX, a genre mash-up of science fiction, martial arts, comic books, and Japanese Animé, from the Wachowskis. Cesar chose this title before the news broke that Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne Moss, and Lana Wachowski would be returning for a fourth Matrix movie, which is set to begin production sometime next year. So, while this may seem timely on our part, it is unintentionally so.

We're looking forward to Shane Black's THE PREDATOR, so we decided to go back to the 1987 original for Episode 37. Our love of this film shines through with every minute of discussion, including a few terrible Schwarzenegger impressions.

"An Adventure 65 Million Years In The Making." That was the tag line when JURASSIC PARK was released in theaters exactly 25 years ago today. And what better time for us to tackle our first full episode on a Steven Spielberg movie?

For this episode, we created a Facebook poll for our fans to decide what horror movie we would tackle next. The results were close, with THE THING edging out films like POLTERGEIST and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. We'd like to thank everyone who voted, and we hope you enjoy the discussion.
