Episode 6 features a discussion on Edgar Wright's HOT FUZZ, the second installment in his Cornetto Trilogy, all featuring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the leads. We gush over Wright's visual style and Timothy Dalton's performance, among other things. This episode was a viewer suggestion, so don't forget to engage with us on Twitter (@settingtheframe for C.J. and @juniorbeho for Cesar) or in the Celluloid Jelly group on Facebook.

For Episode 5, we're talking George P. Cosmatos' 1993 western TOMBSTONE. The film dramatizes the real-life events leading up to and occurring after the famous 1881 shootout at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona, between a group of lawmen - Wyatt Earp, his brothers Virgil and Morgan, Doc Holliday - and members of the notorious outlaw gang known as The Cowboys. Try not to picture us twirling toy guns as we profess our love for this film, and be sure to follow us on twitter @juniorbeho and @settingtheframe. As always, thanks for listening!

Monday Sep 12, 2016
This episode covers Christopher Nolan's dream heist thriller, INCEPTION. A rare blockbuster that respects the viewer's intelligence and lingers well after the first viewing, the film features a great cast and a complex plot that weaves multiple layers of reality together. This one should prompt dissection and debate amongst fans, and we certainly had a great talk, which went a little longer than normal. Wednesday Aug 31, 2016
Episode 3 covers Sidney Lumet's DOG DAY AFTERNOON. A lot of this is simply a Pacino lovefest, which should be no surprise, but we talk shop about Chris Sarandon, Charles Durning, John Cazale, and much more! Some quick bits at the beginning cover Fury, A History of Violence, Arrested Development, Jellyfish Eyes, and some spoiler-free thoughts on Star Trek Beyond. 2: Sorcerer (1977, William Friedkin)

Saturday Aug 20, 2016
The long-delayed Episode 2 covers William Friedkin's SORCERER. Some of the shop talk and box office results we discuss at the beginning should be a dead giveaway that this was recorded a while ago. We'll be playing catch-up over the next couple episodes and should be working closer to the present by Episode 5, so bear with us. 1: The Hustler (1961, Robert Rossen)

This discussion on Robert Rossen's 1961 drama-noir THE HUSTLER is a bit rough around the edges. I don't think either myself or Cesar were happy with the end result, but it was ultimately a good thing for us to shake off the cobwebs and figure out how to pace ourselves for an hour-long show. There was a technical glitch around the twenty-minute mark, so I took that opportunity to fill some dead air with vintage trailer audio, which runs about three minutes. "Growing pains," as Cesar put it during the final minutes of the episode. I've already listened to the raw audio file for Episode 2, and it's much better; so there's that to look forward to, anyway.
